A British Airways Boeing 747-400, registration G-BNLU performing flight BA-58 (dep Aug 22nd) from Cape Town (South Africa) to London Heathrow,EN (UK), had completed a seemingly uneventful flight.

A postflight inspection however revealed the body of an unidentified man, supposedly a stowaway, in one of the landing gear wells.

South Africa's airport operator ACSA reported that security personnel had discovered a young male within the perimeter of Cape Town's airport in the evening of Aug 22nd around the time BA-58 was departing, a chase started during which the person managed to escape and disappear. ACSA assumes the person triggering the chase on Wednesday night was subsequently found dead in London. ACSA said they are concerned about the loss of life and are investigating the occurrence.
