A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration N431WN performing flight WN-116 from Dallas Love,TX to Albuquerque,NM (USA), was in the initial climb out of Love Field's runway 13R when an engine ingested birds prompting the crew to stop the climb at 5000 feet and return to Love Field for a safe landing on runway 13L about 10 minutes after departure.

The FAA reported the aircraft sustained unknown damage when an engine ingested birds. There were no (human) injuries.

The flight was cancelled.
