A United Boeing 767-300, registration N651UA performing flight UA-956 from Newark,NJ (USA) to Geneva (Switzerland), was enroute at FL360 about 130nm south of Halifax,NS (Canada) when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft turned around and returned to Newark for a safe landing about 100 minutes later.
