Passengers, fans of Cologne's Soccer Club 1. FC Köln, reported the captain announced they needed to divert to Munich due to a hydraulic failure. They were badly disappointed as they had hoped to join the big party that day celebrating 1. FC Köln's return into international soccer for the first time after 25 years by qualifying for the Europe League. Instead they were taken to hotels and reached Cologne the following day only.
