A Serene Air Boeing 737-800, registration AP-BNA performing flight ER-502 from Karachi to Islamabad (Pakistan), was climbing out of Karachi's runway 25L when a bird impacted the aircraft causing a cracked windshield and prompting the crew to stop the climb at about FL230 and return to Karachi for a safe landing on runway 25L about 35 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled.
