Gulf A332 at Peshawar on Apr 4th 2017, brakes problem results in runway excursion

A Gulf Air Airbus A330-200, registration A9C-KD performing flight GF-784 from Bahrain (Bahrain) to Peshawar (Pakistan), was on approach to Peshawar's runway 35 when the crew advised of a brakes problem. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 35. The aircraft stopped on the runway for about 55 minutes, before the aircraft was towed to the apron.

Pakistan's CAA reported the crew used the emergency brakes and shut down on the runway.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 6 days later. The return flight GF-785 was listed as "indefinitely delayed".

On Jun 8th 2017 Pakistan's AIB reported the occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated by Pakistan's AIB. There were no injuries and no damage to the aircraft. The AIB reported the aircraft was in the landing roll on runway 35 when the crew called "Mayday" and failed to stop the aircraft within the available landing distance resulting in a runway excursion.
