An Air Canada Rouge Boeing 767-300, registration C-FJZK performing flight RV-1894 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to Tampa,FL (USA) with 290 people on board, departed with a delay of two hours due to de-icing and was enroute when the aircraft needed to deviate around a line of severe thunderstorms north of Tampa taking the aircraft far west over the Gulf of Mexico, about 200nm west of Tampa, before the aircraft was able to turn towards Tampa. The crew declared minimum fuel and landed safely in Tampa about 3:08 hours after departure (scheduled 2:24 hours).

The Canadian TSB reported the aircraft landed with less than the required final fuel reserve remaining.
