A Hong Kong Airlines Airbus A330-200, registration B-LNF performing flight HX-235 from Shanghai Pudong to Hong Kong (China) with 248 passengers and 12 crew, landed on Hong Kong's runway 07L and rolled out safely but became disabled due to a number of flat tyres near high speed turn off A7 before the aircraft could vacate the runway. The passengers disembarked onto the runway via stairs and were bussed to the terminal.

The runway was closed for more than 2 hours until the aircraft was towed off the runway.

The airline said the aircraft suffered a mechanical problem and lost power, the occurrence is under investigation.
