Westjet B737 near Orlando on Feb 4th 2017, burning odour in cabin

A Westjet Boeing 737-700, registration C-GWJG performing flight WS-1336 from Winnipeg,MB (Canada) to Orlando,FL (USA) with 114 people on board, was descending towards Orlando when a flight attendant reported a burning odour in the cabin. The flight crew declared emergency and continued the approach to Orlando for a safe landing on runway 36R.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance traced the source of the odour to the aft cabin circuit breaker panel. Three circuit breakers were pulled and collared.

The aircraft departed for the return flight after about 110 minutes on the ground and reached Winnipeg with a delay of 35 minutes. The aircraft remained on the ground in Winnipeg for about 5 hours, then resumed service.
