A Jin Air Boeing 777-200, registration HL7733 performing flight LJ-23 from Seoul (South Korea) to Angeles (Philippines), was climbing out of Seoul's runway 33L when the crew received an engine (PW4090) fire indication, stopped the climb at 6000 feet, shut the engine down, activated the fire suppression and returned to Seoul for a safe landing on runway 34 about 20 minutes after departure.

The occurrence aircraft had suffered another problem on the previous flight, see Accident: Jin B772 at Bangkok on Feb 7th 2017, smoke in cabin before departure.

The airline reported the cause of the engine fire indication is under investigation. The two incidents were merely a coincidence not related to each other.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground 30 hours after landing back in Seoul.
