A LOT Polish Airlines Embraer ERJ-170, registration SP-LIF performing flight LO-268 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Warsaw (Poland), landed on Warsaw's runway 11. After being cleared to land and reading the clearance back tower transmitted the instruction to vacate the runway via taxiway A4 or L. The aircraft landed safely and vacated the runway via high speed turn off N1. After contacting ground ground control immediately instructed the aircraft to stop and hold position.

Poland's PKBWL released their final report in Polish concluding the probable causes of the incident were:

- Issuance of taxi instructions during the last phase of the final approach
- the attitude of the flight crew to perform the typical maneouver while landing on this aerodrome

The PKBWL reported workers were on taxiway N1 repainting the markings. The workers vacated the taxiway, and after the paint had dried, the aircraft was cleared to continue taxi.
