An American Airlines Airbus A330-200, registration N280AY performing flight AA-1868 from Charlotte,NC to Orlando,FL (USA) with 89 passengers and 10 crew, stopped the climb out of Charlotte at FL260, subsequently climbed to FL280, descended to FL240 before commencing the approach and landing into Orlando about 70 minutes after departure. Seven crew members complained about headache as result of fumes present during the flight, received medical assistance at the airport and were later taken to a hospital.

Orlando Airport reported seven crew members complained about being ill about 90 minutes after landing and were taken to a hospital.

The airline reported the crew members received medical assistance at the airport and were cleared, the crew members subsequently asked to be taken to a hospital.

Previous flights (all with A332) climbed to FL380 or above.
