The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 4 hours, then positioned as flight 4U-6902 to Cologne, remained on the ground in Cologne for about 4:20 hours, then departed as flight 4U-6901 but returned to Cologne after briefly levelling off at FL300. The aircraft resumed service the following morning about 27 hours after landing in Belgrade.
The following day a replacement A319-100 registration D-AGWQ positioned to Belgrade as flight 4U-6903 and resumed the flight as 4U-535 and reached Cologne with a delay of about 25 hours.
The airline reported a seized fan (not further specified whether cooling fan, recirculation fan, ...) caused the diversion to Belgrade. The passengers were taken to hotels and taken to Cologne the following day.
Passengers reported that they were left at the airport without information, while their aircraft departed. After about 12 hours at the airport they were taken to hotels around 23:00L. The following day they were picked up by an aircraft, the passengers suspected the occurrence aircraft had returned to Belgrade to pick them up. The airline pretended in the Internet, that the aircraft had landed in Cologne on schedule.
