A Yamal Airlines Canadair CRJ-200, registration VQ-BPC performing flight YC-943 from Moscow Domodedovo to Beloyarsky (Russia) with 48 passengers, was climbing out of Moscow when the crew stopped the climb at FL180 due to a problem with one of the on-board computers. The aircraft descended to 8000 feet and entered a hold to burn off fuel for about 90 minutes, then landed back at Domodevo Airport about 115 minutes after departure.

The airline confirmed the failure of one of the on-board computers as cause of the return. The flight was postponed to Sep 2nd 2016, all 48 passengers were taken to hotels.
