A Bangkok Airways Airbus A319-100, registration HS-PGT performing flight PG-952 from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) to Ko Samui (Thailand), was enroute at FL340 about 180nm south of Ko Samui when the crew needed to initiate an emergency descent to FL100. The aircraft continued to Ko Samui for a safe landing on runway 17 about 35 minutes later.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for 34 hours, then positioned to Bangkok (Thailand) and resumed service the following day about 53 hours after landing in Ko Samui.
