A KLM Boeing 737-700, registration PH-BGF performing flight KL-1617 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Istanbul (Turkey), reported ready for departure from holding point runway 24, tower advised there would be another departure ahead of them, the crew acknowledged. Tower cleared another KLM flight to line up runway 24. A couple of seconds later tower called KL-1617 and told them they had just lined up without clearance and apologized he'd need to report them. A few minutes later tower cleared the flight for takeoff, the aircraft continued to destination for a safe landing without further incident.
