An Emirates Airbus A380-800, registration A6-EOQ performing flight EK-703 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Mauritius (Mauritius), was enroute at FL380 about 700nm south of Dubai when the crew decided to return to Dubai due to a hydraulic failure. The aircraft climbed to FL390 and landed safely back on Dubai's runway 30L about 2 hours after turning around.

A replacement Airbus A380-800 registration A6-EDM departed Dubai with a delay of 9 hours.
