A Sun Express Germany Boeing 737-800, registration D-ASXH performing flight XG-1215 from Dusseldorf (Germany) to Bodrum Milas (Turkey), was taxiing for departure when the aircraft stopped abruptly about 5 meters before the CATII/III hold short line of runway 05R. Two flight attendants, standing in the forward galley, received injuries as a result.

Germany's BFU reported in their monthly bulletin the accident occurred at 21:35L (19:35Z). The captain provided testimony stating the first officer was steering the aircraft and unexpectedly and heavily used the wheel brakes to stop the aircraft about 5 meters before the low visibility hold short lines of runway 05R. The BFU added that one flight attendant broke her arm (serious injury), another flight attendant received contusions on her arm and back (minor injuries).

The aircraft departed at 22:37L (20:37Z).
