A Yangtse River Express Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration B-2432 performing flight Y8-7453 from Zhengzhou (China) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), landed on Amsterdam's runway 06, rolled out safely and was vacating the runway when the crew of a KLM aircraft reported seeing a leak and smoke at the left main gear of the Boeing 747-400 vacating the runway. The aircraft had already switched to ground, ground instructed the crew to hold position, fire engines were already on their way. Tower instructed the next aircraft on very short final to runway 06 to go around due to emergency services needing to cross the runway, the A340-300 arriving from Surinam went around from about 100 feet AGL and landed safely on runway 06 about 10 minutes later.

Ground observers reported the aircraft had touched down pretty hard.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for 43 hours then continued flight Y8-7453 to the next destination Munich (Germany).
