Upon being handed off to departure the crew reported they had a bird strike right hand side at the departure end of the runway and needed to check whether everything was in order. On departure the crew advised they needed to dump fuel if they needed to return. The aircraft stopped the climb at 5000 feet. About 5 minutes later the crew advised they needed to return to Houston and declared emergency after the right hand engine developed severe vibrations and approach control reported seeing black smoke from the right hand engine. The aircraft dumped fuel for about 20 minutes and performed a safe landing on runway 09 about 45 minutes after departure. The aircraft vacated the runway and stopped on the adjacent taxiway, the crew advised they'd now shut the right hand engine down for inspection by emergency services.

The flight was cancelled.
