When the new crew, bound to take the aircraft onto its next flight AF-3830 to Dubai, boarded and prepared the aircraft for the flight, one of toilets was found clogged. Maintenance activity to clear the toilet then discovered a dead newborn as cause of the blockage.
Police have opened a criminal investigation.
A replacement Boeing 777-300 registration F-GSQM departed Paris with a delay of 6 hours and reached Dubai with a delay of 5:45 hours.
Authorities later reported that other than initially believed and reported it was not a newborn but a foetus, about 20 weeks into development. An autopsy revealed it was a miscarriage. The mother still has not been identified.
