An Aeromexico Connect Embraer ERJ-190, registration XA-ACC performing flight AM-3351 from Mexico City to Cancun (Mexico), was climbing out of Mexico City when the engine access doors of the right hand engine (CF34) opened and were ripped off the aircraft. The crew stopped the climb at about 12000 feet and returned to Mexico City for a safe landing.

A replacement aircraft reached Cancun with a delay of 2.5 hours.
