A Kuwait Airways Boeing 777-200, registration 9K-AOA performing flight KU-301 from Kuwait (Kuwait) to Mumbai (India), was climbing out of Kuwait's runway 15R when a bird impacted a windshield. The crew stopped the climb at FL150 and returned to Kuwait for a safe landing on runway 33L about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A340-300 registration 9K-ANA reached Mumbai with a delay of 5 hours.
