An Azerbaijan Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration 4K-AZ43 performing flight J2-255 from Baku to Nakhchivan (Azerbaijan), was climbing through FL250 out of Baku when the crew needed to shut one of the engines (RB211) down. The aircraft returned to Baku for a safe landing about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 757-200 registration 4K-AZ12 reached Nakhichevan with a delay of about 3 hours.
