A Blue Air Boeing 737-400, registration YR-BAQ performing flight 0B-4101 from Turin to Catania (Italy) with 154 passengers and 6 crew, burst a left main tyre on departure from Turin, levelled off at about FL110 and returned to Turin. The aircraft entered a hold at 4000 feet to burn off fuel and landed safely back about 90 minutes after departure.

On Jun 8th 2015 Italy's ANSV reported that the ANSV opened an investigation into the occurrence rated a serious incident. During takeoff the aircraft suffered a burst tyre, the crew returned to Turin for a safe landing, the aircraft received damage to the left hand wing panels in addition to the burst tyre.
