A British Airways Boeing 777-300, registration G-STBG performing flight BA-139 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Mumbai (India), was enroute at FL350 about 120nm northeast of Munich in Czech Airspace when the crew reported smoke in a galley and decided to turn around and divert to Munich (Germany), the crew advised on approach that the smoke was subsiding, where the aircraft landed safely on runway 26R about 25 minutes later. The aircraft taxied to the apron with emergency services following the aircraft.

The aircraft was able to continue the flight after about 3 hours on the ground in Munich and reached Mumbai with a delay of 3:20 hours.
