The airline confirmed that a ramp worker was found inside the forward cargo hold, which is pressurized and temperature controlled, after the crew heard banging from the underside of the aircraft immediately after becoming airborne. The ramp worker appeared okay but was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
The airline later added, that the employee had started to work at 05:00L, his shift was scheduled to end at 14:30L just at the departure of the aircraft. The ground handling team noticed that one of the team members was missing in a huddle before departure of the aircraft, the member didn't answer to calls, phone calls and text messages, a collegue believed he might have ended his shift and probably had gone home.
