An Air Canada Boeing 767-300, registration C-FCAG performing flight AC-43 from Calgary,AB (Canada) to Kahului,HI (USA), was climbing out of Calgary when the crew experienced trouble with the right hand engine's (CF6) thrust lever and noticed fluctuations in the right hand cabin duct pressure. The crew decided to divert to Vancouver,BC (Canada) for a safe landing and maintenance action.

The Canadian TSB reported that maintenance replaced the strut area push/pull cable and the right engine's pressure shutoff valve.

A replacement Boeing 767-300 registration C-GEOQ reached Kahului with a delay of 5 hours.
