An ICAR Air Let L-410 on behalf of DHL, registration E7-WDT performing cargo flight RAC-9002 from Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) to Ancona (Italy) with 3 crew, veered off the paved surface of runway 04 while landing at Ancona in gusting winds at about 19:30L (18:30Z) after the nose gear touched down first. The aircraft came to a stop with a collapsed nose gear. There were no injuries, the aircraft received substantial damage.

The airport was closed for about 3.5 hours until the aircraft was removed from the runway area.

Italy's ANSV reported on Mar 6th that they have opened an investigation into the occurrence stating there had been a failure of the nose gear resulting in flames occurring in the cockpit.
