A Nordstar Boeing 737-800, registration VQ-BDW performing flight Y7-104 from Norilsk to Moscow Domodedovo (Russia) with 60 passengers and 6 crew, had descended from FL410 to FL200 on approach to Moscow and was descending further when the crew declared emergency reporting the loss of cabin pressure and accelerated the descent to 6000 feet. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Domodedovo's runway 32R about 20 minutes later.

The West Siberian Transport Prosecution Office reported that during the descent from cruise altitude towards the destination a loss of cabin pressure due to the failure of the air conditioning system occurred, the crew applied related procedures and released the passenger oxygen masks.
