A Jin Air Boeing 737-800, flight LJ-13 from Jeju (South Korea) to Taipei (Taiwan) with 95 passengers and 6 crew, had landed safely on Taipei's runway 05L in Typhoon conditions at about 21:13L (13:13Z) and was expected to turn off onto high speed exit N8, however, actually attempted to turn off onto high speed exit N7 but skidded and came to a stop with the nose gear on soft ground forcing runway and taxiway N7 to be closed.

The aircraft was towed back onto paved surface and to the apron about 2 hours later, the runway and taxiway re-opened a short time later after inspections. The passengers disembarked normally at the gate through an airbridge after being kept on board throughout the recovery.

The incident aircraft was able to perform the return flight LJ-14 the following day after about 15 hours on the ground (scheduled ground time 13 hours) and reached Jeju with a delay of 2 hours.
