An Expressjet Canadair CRJ-900 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N132EV performing flight EV-4964/DL-4964 from Atlanta,GA to Burlington,VT (USA), was enroute at FL350 about 140nm northnortheast of Atlanta when the crew initiated an emergency descent to 10,000 feet (average rate of descent 3600fpm) due to the loss of cabin pressure, the passenger oxygen masks were released. The aircraft continued in the general direction of Burlington at 10,000 feet, however, about 260nm northnortheast of Atlanta, about 15 minutes after levelling off at 10,000 feet, the crew decided to return to Atlanta, where the aircraft landed safely about 105 minutes after departure.

A replacement Canadair CRJ-700 registration N614QX reached Burlington with a delay of 3 hours.
