A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration N416WN performing flight WN-1469 from Saint Louis,MO to Fort Lauderdale,FL (USA) with 129 passengers and 5 crew, was enroute at FL330 about 50nm northnorthwest of Tampa,FL (USA) when the crew reported problems with the cabin pressure and initiated an emergency descent to 13000 feet levelling off at 13000 feet about 5 minutes later (average rate of descent 4000 fpm). The aircraft diverted to Fort Myers,FL, about 95nm southsoutheast of Tampa, for a safe landing.

A replacement Boeing 737-700 delivered the passengers to Fort Lauderdale with a delay of 130 minutes.

The airline reported the aircraft suffered the loss of cabin pressure prompting the crew to follow the related emergency procedures and divert to Fort Myers, where a replacement aircraft was being prepared.
