An American Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N390AA performing flight AA-203 from Miami,FL (USA) to Curitiba,PR (Brazil), was climbing through FL350 out of Miami when both utility busses lost electrical power and both recirculation fans stopped. After levelling off at cruise level FL370 about 230nm south of Miami the crew decided to return to Miami for a safe overweight landing about 80 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 767-300 registration N359AA reached Curitiba with a delay of about 4 hours.
