An Air Canada Boeing 777-200, registration C-FIVK performing flight AC-87 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to Shanghai Pudong (China) with 274 people on board, was enroute over Russia when the first officer became ill and was unable to continue duties. Members of the augmenting flight crew replaced the first officer, the crew continued the flight to Shanghai for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported augment crew provided relief for the remainder of the flight after the first officer became unable to continue duties.
