The new version, besides fixing the issues reported and known so far, introduces a number of features:
- full offline reader capability
- colour coding by category crash, accident, incident, news, report
- identify presence of images and videos in masterlist
- track coverages already read by reader but not yet updated again
- introduced great circle track on map
Bug fixes:
- third pary library removed to improve compatibility with iOS 8
- identified and fixed a race condition in the database import (refresh)
- duplicates in master view (not search) removed
- reader comments maintain line feeds
- photo button did not activate when called article did not contain photos but linked articles did
- changed "Load more" to "Load one more week" for clarification
One recommendation to all users: select the top left icon (settings) and activate the import function on WiFi (WLAN) and/or Cellular as you prefer (and see fit with your data transfer limits on cellular), both settings are off by default (no offline reading).
A user of Version 1.00 wrote: "Yeah. It's an expensive app. But for the work Simon does - I gladly paid for it. I appreciate all the work he does and buying the app is a simple way to compensate him (in a small way) for the value he has provided me. Buy the app everybody! :)"
