A Nok Air Boeing 737-800, registration HS-DBD performing flight DD-7805 from Nakhon Si Thammarat to Bangkok Don Muang (Thailand) with 139 people on board, was climbing out of Nakhon Si Thammarat's runway 18 when the aircraft flew through a flock of birds and received a number of bird strikes. The crew stopped the climb at 10,000 feet and diverted to Surat Thani (Thailand) for a safe landing on runway 04 about 25 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto other flights.

The occurrence aircraft was able to position to Bangkok International Airport as flight DD-6601 departing Surat Thani about 12 hours after landing.
