An Allegiant McDonnell Douglas MD-83, flight G4-462 from Las Vegas,NV to Laredo,TX (USA) with 162 people on board, had just reached cruise FL330 about 110nm north of Phoenix,AZ when the crew decided to divert to Phoenix Mesa,AZ due to problems with the anti ice systems of the aircraft. The aircraft landed safely at Mesa Airport about 30 minutes later.

The airline confirmed mechanical problems with the anti ice equipment of the aircraft.

A replacement MD-83 reached Laredo with a delay of 3.5 hours.
