A jet2.com Boeing 737-300, registration G-CELC performing flight LS-876 from Faro (Portugal) to Manchester,EN (UK), was on approach to Manchester's runway 05L when the crew aborted the approach reporting flaps problems. The aircraft climbed to Fl060 and entered a holding for about 20 minutes. The crew reported the flaps problem could not be solved and performed a safe landing on runway 05L at a higher than normal speed. The aircraft resumed service the following day after about 16 hours on the ground.
