A Virgin America Airbus A320-200, registration N628VA performing flight VX-412 from Los Angeles,CA to New York JFK,NY (USA) with 145 people on board, was enroute at FL370 about 100nm southeast of Denver,CO (USA) when the crew initiated an emergency descent reporting they couldn't control the cabin pressurization anymore. The aircraft levelled at FL100 about 8 minutes later (average rate of descent 3400 fpm), turned around and diverted to Denver, where the aircraft landed safely on runway 17R about 50 minutes later.

The occurrence aircraft was able to depart Denver again after about 2:45 hours on the ground and reached New York with a delay of 4 hours.
