An Air France Airbus A318-100, registration F-GUGD performing flight AF-1740 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was descending towards Amsterdam when the crew declared PAN reporting flight control problems. The aircraft continued for a safe landing at a normal speed on runway 36R and vacated the runway, the crew indicated no assistance was needed as the flight control problem only affected them while airborne and taxied to the apron.

The aircraft was able to depart for the return flight AF-1741 with a delay of 25 minutes.
