An Iberia Airbus A340-600, registration EC-LEU performing flight IB-6585 from Madrid,SP (Spain) to Bogota (Colombia), was enroute at FL370 over the Atlantic Ocean when the autopilot and autothrust disconnected, the airspeeds became erratic and the crew received simultaneous stall and overspeed warnings. The crew reverted to unreliable airspeed procedures flying the aircraft via pitch and power settings, worked the related checklists, the anomalies ceased, and the aircraft was able to continue the flight to Bogota, where the aircraft landed safely.

The Aviation Herald was told, that the aircraft was enroute at FL370 over the Atlantic Ocean when the autoflight systems disconnected and a stall and an overspeed warning occurred at the same time. The crew reverted to pitch/power settings, restored normal indications while working the checklists and continued the flight to Bogota. Maintenance did not find any malfunction of the air data system or other aircraft system.

Iberia confirmed an incident occurred during the flight, which is being investigated, the investigation also involves Airbus. Due to the investigation no further details can be told. The spokeswoman annotated that the information, The Aviation Herald received and cross checked with Iberia, is not entirely accurate but due to the ongoing investigation she was not permitted to point out which part of the information was not entirely accurate.
