A Brussels Airlines Avro RJ-100, registration OO-DWG performing SN-2825 from Brussels (Belgium) to Budapest (Hungary), was on final approach to runway 31R when the crew did not switch to tower but reported they had discontinue the approach due to technical problems and requested to join a holding. After working the checklists the crew reported they had solved their flaps problem, they expected a normal landing but needed to be slower than normal on approach. The aircraft landed safely on runway 31R about 35 minutes after aborting the first approach.

The aircraft was able to depart for the return flight with a delay of 50 minutes.
