An Aerosvit Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration UR-AAG performing flight VV-186 from Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) to Kiev (Ukraine), was on approach to Kiev when the crew selected flaps 30 but received a flaps asymmetry indication. The flaps were selected back to 20 degrees and a safe landing at a higher than normal speed was completed.

Ukraine's Ministry of Transport reported in their monthly bulletin that maintenance replaced a pair of position sensors on the left and one position sensor at the right hand wing.
