A British Airways Boeing 747-400, registration G-CIVN performing flight BA-143 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Delhi (India), was enroute at FL350 about 85nm east of Amsterdam (Netherlands) already in German airspace, when the crew declared emergency reporting vibrations from the left hand side of the aircraft, returned to London dumping fuel and landed safely on runway 27R about 66 minutes after turning around.

A replacement Boeing 747-400 registration G-CIVJ departed about 7 hours after landing and reached Delhi with a delay of 6.5 hours.

G-CIVN had been punctured at the aft cargo door on Nov 17th 2013 while parked and being unloaded in San Francisco,CA (USA).
