An Aerolineas Argentinas Boeing 737-700, registration LV-BZA performing flight AR-1890 from Buenos Aires Aeroparque,BA to Ushuaia,TF (Argentina), was on approach to Ushuaia's runway 25 about 22nm before touchdown when the aircraft was struck by lightning. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 25 at 19:40L (22:40Z).

The aircraft received punctures to the fuselage and the radome, the return flight AR-1891 needed to be cancelled.

The aircraft was able to position to Buenos Aires Aeroparque as flight AR-1061 on Dec 23rd but has not yet resumed service.
