An ANA Wings de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration JA462A performing flight EH-4915/NH-4915 from Fukuoka to Fukue (Japan) with 36 passengers and 5 crew, was descending through 4000 feet MSL towards Fukue about 10nm from the aerodrome when the aircraft was struck by lightning. The crew continued for a safe landing at Fukue Airport at 09:37L (00:37Z).

Japan's Transportation Safety Board (JTSB) rated the occurrence an accident and opened an investigation.

The airline reported the aircraft received three dents in various locations at the left hand side of the aircraft requiring extensive repairs.
