An Air Canada Airbus A330-300, registration C-GFUR performing flight AC-847 from Munich (Germany) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 276 people on board, was climbing out of Munich when the crew stopped the climb at FL130 reporting a minor technical issue that nonetheless required their return to Munich, due to the pending overweight landing emergency services were requested on local stand by however. The aircraft landed safely back on Munich's runway 26R about 30 minutes after departure.

The aircraft departed again after 2.5 hours on the ground and reached Toronto with a delay of 3 hours.

The Canadian TSB reported received an unsafe forward cabin door ECAM caution. Maintenance checked the right hand forward cabin door proximity sensor, cleaned the connector and tested the sensor with no further anomalies.
