A Tunisair Airbus A320-200, registration TS-IML performing flight TU-851 from Lyon (France) to Tunis (Tunisia), was enroute at FL370 about 20nm north of Cagliari (Italy) and 170nm north of Tunis when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to the loss of cabin pressure, the passenger oxygen masks were released. The aircraft continued to Tunis for a safe landing about 30 minutes after leaving FL370.

Passengers reported the aircraft departed Lyon with a delay of more than 4 hours due to maintenance working on the aircraft. About an hour into the flight the aircraft the aircraft rapidly descended, the passenger oxygen masks were released.

The airline reported that one of the air conditioning systems failed in flight causing the occurrence.
