A Tunisair Boeing 737-600, registration TS-ION performing flight TU-6291 from Paris Orly (France) to Djerba (Tunisia), was on final approach to Djerba when two large birds impacted the nose gear causing a hydraulic leak. The crew continued for a safe landing in Djerba. The aircraft needed to be towed off the runway.

The airline confirmed that two large birds impacted the nose gear causing a hydraulic leak. The crew stopped the aircraft on the runway fearing the loss of nose wheel steering and requested a tow to the apron where passengers disembarked normally.
